Get involved

Keep the playing going after you

A gift in your will lets children you will never meet grow up with sport, play and a fair chance at school.

People who remember Join for Joy in their will usually know exactly why. They saw what a schoolyard does to a child who was written off, and they want that to carry on. A legacy is the one gift that keeps working when you are no longer here to give it.

Two ways to do it

  • A legacy

You leave a fixed amount, or a specific possession such as a house or a share portfolio, to Join for Joy. The rest of your estate goes to your heirs as you arranged it.

  • An inheritance

You name Join for Joy as one of your heirs, for a share of your estate that you decide yourself. Your share moves with the size of the estate.

Both are recorded by a civil-law notary. Which one fits depends on your situation, and your notary is the person to ask.

Your gift arrives in full

The Dutch tax authorities have recognised Join for Joy as a charitable organisation with ANBI status, so we pay no inheritance tax on what you leave us. Every euro goes into the programme in Malawi, Zambia, Uganda and Kenya.

Invest in the future together with Join for Joy

With Give for Good you can support Join for Joy not only now, but also in the future. They convert your donation into an investment, the return of which gets paid out annually. This return continues to grow forever, making your donation a lasting source of impact for Join for Joy.

Talk it through first

A legacy is a personal decision and there is no form for it here. Send us a message and we will call you back, and we will pass on the Give for Good details in the same reply if you want them.
